Isn't it about time?

For what? Well, let's put it this way, my last two bikes were a Kawasaki ZZR1100 and a Honda Pan-European. This was in The Netherlands which is not only bike friendly but has VERY high standards of driver training (quite usual for competent drivers to take 2-3 tests before getting a licence)making two wheeling a lot safer...
Anyhow, I'm now retired in Florida and stick to four wheels (if you've spent time on FL roads you'll know why, bikes get t-boned and side swiped daily down here).
So I view biking as a happy memory. Smirk

My point? Okay, I'll get there eventually...riding big bikes all over Europe made me long for the ease and convenience of an AUTO GEARBOX.
I know Guzzi futzed around with it back in the day and it's still seen as "only old geezers on Gold Wing trikes would want that" - but really, with bikes easily churning out 150HP and up the power loss would be minimal.

Any of you with design knowledge tell me WHY this is not gaining any traction since the technology is clearly there. Confused
