I just got back from a Triumph motorcycle intro, the coolness meter broke its stop.  Got to meet Burns, Seate, riles & Nelson, Baylee other pro writer types. It was like a track-day newbie hanging with Mamola and Roberts for a day. I was on my best behavior. These guys know Catterson.

We grunted around Phoenix for a little bit, 1700cc torque monsters peeling loose ribbon-candy strips of molten asphalt.  Nearly.

Seate? lol!
he is a nice guy and genuine in his enthusiasm. he jumps around too much though.
if i remember correctly he was a bouncer at a biker bar and did mostly bike movie reviews. nothing wrong with that, but he later goes from sport bike guy to chopper builder to cafe guru, and he has become a jack of all trades , master of none, so to speak.

Seate was cool as hell.  He really is into bikes.  I got a sample of his mag Cafe Racer, full of home-grown stripped down bikes.  You'd love it Hack.  Your pukka Hacksaw's-Garage type motorcycle would fit right in.

Seats is huge. There is a photo in his mag of him on a Bimoto Testi, at first I thought he was riding a mini moto.  He would seem to make a good bouncer because 90 percent of the time guys would rather leave than deal with him. Very efficient.

Hack- what's the deal at Motohorsemen?  I got on once but can't get past Guess-The-Letter anti spammer thing.  It says I'm entering the digits wrong and to try again over and over.

Has Steve banned me already?

Hahahaha, have I banned you already, that is too funny.

We've got a little glitch in our giddy-up over there, it's being worked on.

Back to YOU, JOE GRESH -

Cool as heck getting to meet those guys and such.

I would like to suggest that you do wash your hand though.

joe, maybe "be like mike" applies to Seate and 1700cc bikes both?
Seate might indeed be too big for moto giro. 1700cc is pushing the limit of what i can see as a all-round useful motorcycle.

which roberts did u meet? the kid?

the fact they all know catterson is, well, i mean, i am simply agog at the notion.

i hope you can hang in with motohorsemen. it is fustrating , especially on the weekends , to find it down so often. i know in the past, i have seen ujm on their servers tech forums asking for clarification of the issue. so i know the server is aware of the issue. i dont know if they can fix it before members give up on it.

Very cool bunch of guys.

I clicked on your linked "toque" monster thing expecting to find what you were grunting around on but it came up as a dodge ram turbo-diesel...

The link deal must be a keyword, revenue enhancing deal. Words seem to be linked randomly by a guy behind the curtain. Annette will know how it works.

The bikes were Triumph Storms. 1700cc but not super big or unmanageable.

Lots of grunt all right.

I don't know if this will work, should be a crummy iPhone video of the Triumphs idling in the cold.

Maybe the Postmaster General, UJM, can teach us how to post a utube link?
