Harley sells out Buell for a latte.

It was interesting to see that Harley sold back MV-Augusta to the former owners for a buck.
It's really a shame that they thought so little of Buell and it's employees not to give them the same deal.
An American Co. didn't support Americans yet sends millions overseas.
It's a shame. Maybe someone can give me a quick economics lesson and explain to me why this makes sense?

I think HD overreacted when the depression first hit.  If they played a steadier hand they would have taken huge losses and then gotten a bailout.

I don't think they ever went under $200 million in profits.
The bail outs were for companies losing money, no?

The only reason Harley purchased MV was to establish a dealer network in Europe. Buell is a different story completely. Eric was frustrated by the motor company and probably pissed off the wrong people. The biggest problem will be if the motor company refuses to let Eric use some of his patents that are in Harley's name. I would love to see Eric succeed, America needs people like these to remember that we still can make our own way.
