Magazine type face too small to read

Gentlemen:
It is with regret that I will not be renewing my subscription to Motorcyclist magazine. This is primarily because the font size used in your articles (along with lack of contrast between the type and background) has gotten so small that it is simply too much work to read. I am only in early 50's and even with reading glasses, the fonts you use are simply too small to read comfortably. In comparing your type face with Rider magazine and others, the difference is noticeable. It's a shame to alienate what I suspect is a substantial percentage of your readers in order to save a few pages each month.
In the future I'll look for Motorcyclist in the magazine racks and if I notice an improvement in "readability", I may consider subscribing again.

I also would like to see some improvement in readability.  I had been an almost regualar subscriber to the magazine for about twenty years but when the disruption caused by Katrina interrupted delivery I never pursued the problem.
I now want to re-subscribe but am hesitating.
Your post makes me hesitate more.
Maybe it is worse than in 2005?
