A buddy of mine has a 1982 Honda Ascot (500cc single) Where can he get specs as a manual is not available? Does this engine share specs with the XR500?

This manual for the FT500 appears to be in stock. If it inexplicably goes out of stock, just do a google search or check out Ebay. There are numerous companies publishing service manuals, including the manufacterer. I went the OE route and got a factory Honda manual for my '83 VT500.
