Hi there,I recently had a recon gennie installed.I broke down yesterday and got to a garage, where they tested the gennie where it plugs into the regulator rectifier and told me it wasnt charging 1 out of 3 fazers. The battery seemed to die over a couple of days, but when I revved engine the light s got brighter.Have they missed something,is there a loose connection?.Any advice please?cheers gav1

They probably meant 3 Phases-the three windings in the stator.   One could be bad and the bike won't charge right.  Usually, the output between each set of two wires at the 3 wire plug  (unplugged) will be 50-ish volts AC with the engine revving. Look in your manual for the exact numbers.

Could be a loose connection, melted plug, bad crimp in the harness or reg/rectfier if the stator checks out.

If the bike's a early Vmax it has all these problems.
