Time and Time again, Motorcyclist does not have the BMW in the mix, here you have the Goldwing, anywhere you have that couch on wheels the BMW must be present.
They are the same class bike, and in the article you have an area of handling, the BMW would have easily swept that area clean, acceleration, well maybe second or third, ergo's c;mon, first or second, i am just confused i guess, why they are not even considered in these match ups?

I've been riding a Cal Vintage for a week now.  Found the same problem with the shifter that you did, but since I have an '72 Eldorado I knew where to adjust it.  My fat toes are all comfy now.

As far as dealers and parts, Guzzi now has a commitment to stock 98% of parts for every bike in the US, and make them available to any dealer in as little as 48 hours.  I've already experienced this with the Breva 1200 sport, and it really is true.

The dealers are really getting sorted out, and frankly, it should be a minor variable in the decision process.  After 8 days and 1000 miles, it just handles better than any bagger.  I would recommend it to anyone that has never had a big cruiser before as a first bagger, and also for anyone that's going to really roll up miles.  Delightful bike.

A few weeks ago i went riding with a Sport riding group, their name is Two Wheel Soldiers, anyhow, i warned them that i was going to school them in handling on my K1200 LT-custom in the corners, on the straights i would not stand a chance, but once the corners came into play, that i would lead the pack, low and behold i did almost make it all the way to the front against 7 other bikes, ranging from Gsxr 600's up to the 750's as well as three R 1's and a new ZX 10 r and a zxr6, i could not get by the gsxr 600 but i was close on his hiney, and i would challenge most to a corners race, this bike just accels in the corners, period. it is comfy beyond comprehension if you've never ridden a comfy bike and could compare, My 02 Triumph tiger handled well, i think this bike may be better, It just sticks, i know you sport bike guys dont believe it, but i did remove the center stand for more lean angle and was grinding the gear shifter in the corners, the chicken strip out back was on the edge, although the front shows about another 1/8 of an inch, can't do it, i would be rubbing the rear pegs, and i think i would high side before that happens, anyhow, to step up to this type of motorcycle definetly deserves a ride, rent one for an afternoon against anything else you ride, and your decision will be simple, i am 6' 1 1/2 inches, weigh 215 lbs, with a 36" inseam, and it is more the comfy.
