I need to know what size resistor to use to bypass keyswitch I have this motor in a roadrace car and the guy who put this together moved

My smoked up warning banner is out, but I would just add a fuse holder a toggle switch, then jump the hot wire to the wire harness as if the key was on. Use a test light to ground so you see what wire is hot?
