maybe it is a paranoia, but it seems that you just do not test many BMW motorcycles, is it that they wont give you bikes? or is it the fact that they may win most competitions? I did a search for the k 1200 gt a few weeks ago and the latest one i could find is like 2006, although if i did a search of any sport bike say a zx-10 i may get a half dozen, for the most part they defenitely sell more sport bikes that sport touring bikes, but there is a population of riders who do not ride sport bikes, we prefer the finer things in life, in my case i ride a 03' K1200 LT-custom, i prefer to handle well, have and ride my bike year round, with heated seats, grips, plug ins for cold weather-never needed them yet, cruise control, six disc cd changer that yes you can hear at 140 mph with a helmet on, electric windsheild and many other goodies you do not have space for.
They in my humble opine make a superior product in most categories, i know this, i just think that most of your readers will never get an oppurtunity to know how great BMW's products are due to the fact that you do not represent their bikes even a small percentage as much you do the Japanese bikes get. I could throw out names and be immature, but that is not my nature, i just hoped for a fair and balanced comparisons of Europe's finest against everything else.
Thanks, Dan

I wish the bike mags would make BMW justify its departure from making motorcycles and building 2 wheeled cars instead.
