Let you all know Myrtle Beach is trying their best to end the Annual Harley Davidson Rally in Myrtle Beach, SC from May 9-18.  They are not going to allow permits for inside the city limits.  They say bikers disturb local residents too much and want us out.  However, the locations where most of the rally occurs is outside the city limits from Little River to North Myrtle Beach and from Surfside and Murrells Inlet.  We are pushing our county council not to try and do the same.
We need your help in preserving the great activities that are offered during this great rally.  This year were over 300,000 bikers for the annual rally.  So instead of staying in Myrtle Beach for the Rally stay in NMB, Cherry Grove, Little River and south Surfside, Murrells Inlet area.
We are trying to keep up the good fight, we are taxpayers in the county and depend on everyone to come down and have fun.

Thanks for all your support,

Lux Custom Choppers

Please send emails to our county council to let them know you are still coming down and want the rally to continue.

Liz Gilland chairman@horrycounty.org, (843) 248-9107 and all city council at countycouncil@horrycounty.org today!! Or call Liz Gilland as she is opposed to the rally and will hurt every motorcycle business in the county severely.

Sorry but I've heared the deafening roar, seen the insane antics, and heard the drunken puking profanities. I would suggest an investment in mufflers and an adjustment of your attitudes. Locals in communities all over this country are a little fed up with the arrogance of us bikers. Either we get our way or its an attack on our civil liberties, right? Wrong. The locals are simply trying to keep their little piece of the pie hospitable to them. After all, they live their. Give them some slack. Put a nice quiet muffler on it and I bet they would appreciate that a whole bunch.

We are still expecting 340,000 for the Spring Rally in 2009.  So come on down and have a good time, just don't stay in Myrtle Beach City Limits!  This event will be bigger and better and should be interesting to say the least.  Where all this mess comes from is the real interest in getting rid of the Atlantic Beach Bike Fest which runs usually 2 weeks after Harley rally.  The Atlantic Bike Fest is mainly with the sport bike crowd with attendance in the low 100,000 and was once called Black Bike Week Officially.  Myrtle Beach City doesn't want them here, saying they are ruining the family nature of beach.  Since they can't specifically target that week because it would call them out as racist, they lumped the 10 Day Harley Rally into this mess.  Government at work, or causing more problems then not.  Atlantic Beach is its own town and therefore they will continue to host their rally their!  Basically all of this comes down the MB City doesn't want any bikers down here at all!  However North Myrtle Beach and other surrounding communities will continue to host the rally folks with open arms, so come on down and have fun but obey the laws!!

All of the vendors normally inside MB will be outside of city limits from NMB north to Murrells Inlet and South.

Keep the rubber side down!!
