i was thinking about geting some gear for my bike and im just starting to take an interest in motorcycles but i was wondering if its better to buy used gear or should i just save and get it brand new??

Well that depends on what kind of gear you're talking about. I don't think you want to buy someone's sweaty helmet no matter how cheap. Now you can get a great deal buying a jacket from someone who is changing brands of bikes. For dirt bike gear it very common to find deals from people leaving the sport or out growing it.

It's hard to beat some of the deals you find in the closeout section with newenough.com http://www.newenough.com/closeouts/
I've bought from them 5 or 6 times with good success. Sometimes the deals are beyond belief. I believe they sold used leathers when they started but not anymore - but they kept the name. ![]()
