The first 500 miles the lifters chatter. I heard it on my 2007 but added a stage #1 system before delivery and when my bike is hot I can hear the lifters and I now have 1200 miles. I assure you nobody you ride past will hear it and you need to operate the bike at varied speeds and for short trips so it breaks in right. After the 500 oil change I recommend a drain plug that has a high power magnet attached to it. It will replace your stock plug. The noise is going to quiet down some but everyone I drive past claims it sounds great and I had a buddy ride mine and I didn't hear anything but thunder! Remember this as well hydraulic lifter maintain near perfect spec valve clearances and why the engine never needs valve adjustment. The technology over anything else is overwhelming. Just change the oil and if the noise is a problem during the summer swap out one quart for 20w-50 synthetic like mobile 1. Hot oil will thin a bit but the only thing I know that will kill that engine is the metal as the engine wears so don't let it get to the lifters by changing filters between the changes and google for the accessories that are available for the kingpin or the 100cu in engine and add the plug and when you change the oil you will have trapped the extra particles that escape the filter!
