As winter begins to loosen its grip here in the Pacific Northwest, our thoughts (and your's too I'm sure), turn to The Rides Ahead. Our first container of bikes will ship out five weeks from now, and there are more to follow.
In this newsletter, I'd like to bring you up to date on the status of our tours and projects. Hopefully, a few of you will find the means to join us on our new adventures this year. Keep that battery charged up, check your tire pressures, there are enthralling adventures to come. . . .
We're proud to announce that our inaugural tour of the Japanese Islands has sold out. Twenty-five participants are busily completing their paperwork, poised to embark on the Japan Hanami Tour, which begins in Tokyo on 21 April 2008. At the tour's conclusion, seven riders will continue westward, boarding a ferry from Kobe, Japan, bound for Tianjin, China. There, they'll meet up with the rest of this year's World Tour participants, joining them for the long haul from Beijing, to the international BMW Motorrad Days rally in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany.
Last Chance for the World Tour Until 2009

Following right on the heels of the Japan Hanami Tour, the GlobeRiders World Tour 2008 commences in Beijing on 12 May 2008. The group will travel 16,000 kilometers across the EurAsian continent in the course of this 55 day adventure.
Due to the logistical complexity of this tour, we offer it only once every two years. If you're looking for a truly Grand Ride, there is still time to join in on this year's tour, but time in short.

Our third and final tour for this year is our new IndoChina Adventure 2008. This 56-day ride begins in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam on 24 Sep, and follows the roads less traveled through Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, terminating in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Ten participants have already qualified and have placed their deposits. If you'd like to be part of this inaugural group of intrepid adventurers, we are accepting applications now. The final tour package fees are confirmed. For details and information on this year's IndoChina Adventure, please click here.
IndoChina Expedition - The TV Series and DVD

Late last year, Helge, GlobeRiders Video and Multimedia Production Partner Sterling Noren, and Washington rider Chris Poland, participated in the IndoChina Expedition 2007.
Over the course of this 72 day pre-run or "recce" conducted in advance of this year's tour, Sterling shot and edited over 100 hours of video.
Back in his home editing studio, Sterling is hard at work on a 13-part "reality" series for television. In addition, a new IndoChina Adventure DVD will be released this spring, the sixth in GlobeRiders growing catalog of instructional and adventure DVDs.
