PICKERINGTON, Ohio -- The American Motorcyclist Association is pleased to announce that American Honda's Pro Honda Oils brand is returning as title sponsor of the 2008 AMA  Pro Honda Oils Supersport Championship presented by Shoei.

"2008 marks the 18th consecutive season with Pro Honda Oils supporting professional Supersport roadracing in the United States," said Assistant Manager Rick Mitchell, speaking on behalf of the Pro Honda Oils brand. "We are excited and proud to once again sponsor the AMA Pro Honda Oils Supersport Championship. The level of competition in the class is simply amazing and offers the very best possible environment to showcase the Pro Honda Oils brand."

AMA Pro Honda Oils Supersport racing features lightly modified, production-based racebikes. The fierce competition among manufacturers and the high level of rider talent attracted to the series make Supersport racing some of the closest and most exciting motorcycle roadracing competition found anywhere.

"The AMA is extremely pleased to have Pro Honda Oils back for another exciting year of Supersport racing," said Keith Kizer, AMA Racing senior director. "Pro Honda Oils' support is one of the longest-running sponsorship relationships in the history of AMA racing."

The first round of the AMA Pro Honda Oils Supersport Championship presented by Shoei fires up on Thursday, March 6 at Daytona International Speedway. For more information, visit www.amasuperbike.com.
