Loss of lowend power with a side order of POP!

I recently lost all my power in the low rpm range.
I also notice an occasional backfire.. Whau Happen>>??
My 01 Zx6r is high millage ...and i think i need to rebuild..but this is my daily rider and i need to get by for a little bit longer ... any suggestions/?
