well, had one today,a close call, you know, the usual left turn in front of you. I was in the slow lane of a 4 lane intersection, they couldnt see me, but I saw them smooth on the brakes, a little left and then a little right and I was around it and thru, I wasn't even annoyed by it. This wasn't the outcome 20 some odd years ago in a similar event I locked it up, laid it down, and slid into the side of a stationwagon So, this got me to thinkin. Anybody else got a story about close calls?

I was headed down I35 East just south of downtown Dallas in the fast lane doing about 70 or so. A car in the next lane decided it wanted to be in my lane just as I was about even with their rear wheel. No blinker, no head check, no nothing. No time for me to do anything but hit the throttle. They were about half way in my lane when I shot by. I saw the guy swerve back into his lane from my rear view mirror. Always fun...huh?

AHH YESSSS I know what that's like. I'll admit tho, when I was a young buck before I had a mc license I was guilty of doing such a thing. I learned not to do it AND to look out for those who do, boy that was a while ago
The wierdest thing was after my close call I got home, opened the mailbox to find the latest issue. In Boehm's section on "how to stay alive" he writes about left turners, seems I did everything right. Too bad I can't write worth a crap. If I could maybe I could get free bikes and gear
