Funeral Escort Job Description
Duties:
Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis. Applicants are encouraged to apply early for immediate consideration.  All applicants must provide a current Department of Motor Vehicle License printout and a current California Drivers License.  This announcement may close without advance notice. ? Direct the movement of a group of processional vehicles (i.e. funeral, wedding, Quince eras, V.I.P., etc.), traveling in line to or from a service.
? Traffic control to allow uninterrupted service procession while ensuring to obey all vehicle codes.
? Procession facilitation via two way radio communication and dispatch direction,
? Minor motorcycle maintenance, washing and/or detailing equipment.
? Report writing, paperwork (i.e. time log, gas log, mileage log).
Minimum Qualifications:
Preference is for retired or current police motor officer.
21 years of age.   Preference is for guard and gun card holders.  Being bilingual is desirable but not required.

Interview Process
If the applicant meets all of the above minimum requirements for the prospective position, the applicant may be contacted for an interview. Each Escort Officer is required to fill out an application and provide a resume with current references. With the information in the application and additional questions related to the Funeral Escorts, the applicant is asked about their work history and customer service ability. If the application passes the first interview, there is a second interview with the manager of the division to see the possibilities and fit for the prospective position.
Reference Check
With each applicant we require a minimum of three personal and three professional references. Before an applicant is hired we check with each and every reference to get an idea of the character of the applicant. We want to get an idea of who this person is and what they are about. Each reference check is rated on a scale of five with the professional references having a greater weight than the personal.

If the applicant is an escort candidate, their three year vehicle history is researched through our insurance agent. Knowing that both ours and our client’s reputation is always in jeopardy we want to be positive that the person we are putting on the road in a marked motorcycle will exemplify professionalism at all times.
Drug Test
Through a professional Drug testing service each officer is required to pass a 7 item drug test. This is done and received before the officer is hired. Peaceful Journey Executive Protection, LLC, is a drug free company and performs random drug test to ensure that it stays that way.
