Now I know that you don't get the most reliable info. from guy's that you are locked up with, but I was recently arrested for a D.U.I.. While incarcerated a fellow inmate had informed me that if your license is suspended you can still get a permit/license to ride a motorcycle. Is there any truth to this, and if so do I need to get a permit before my license is revoked. Any info in regard to this matter would be greatly appreciated. (I currently reside in Georgia).

I dont know Georgia but for the most part if your license to operate a vehicle is suspended, that will apply to ANY vehicle that requires a license, even if its a motorcycle. Not to preach, but consider the DUI a wakeup call to not F**** do it again. When all is said and done, between lawyer costs and fines, this DUI may end up costing you a few grand.

No matter what you do yer screwed, even if you try to out run the conviction at the dmv it will catch up to you in the paperwork and if you get caught on the bike your suspension will be in the computer, they'll take your bike, throw you in jail, and when you go to court the fines will be heavier and the suspension lengthened. Years ago, I had an accident with no insurance, even tho the wreck wasn't my fault my license was pulled till I showed proof of ins., I ended up getting caught twice in the same week trying to get to work to afford the insurance. Long story short, learn yer lesson now, it's more exspensive if ya don't
