Getting There . . . Eventually.

Mitch and Ryan, the creators of half-throttle.com are leaving on an 8,000-mile epic motorcycle adventure, only - they don't know where they're going. . . but you do.
Half-throttle.com is an interactive travel experience where you choose the route.  Mitch and Ryan will ride their motorcycles through 9 different countries in two months—and in order for them to stay friends during their journey from Utah to The Panama Canal, they've decided to leave the decisions to the voters.
Anyone can vote for 'Mitch's Way' or 'Ryan's Way' at www.half-throttle.com. But whatever destination or path is chosen, Mitch and Ryan say they'll both win—because their trip is not about the destination, it is about the ride.
These friends don't just have different ideas of where they're going—they also have different ways of getting there. Ryan will be riding a 2005, BMW R1200GS — a modern motorcycle soaked in technology that he says is straight out of the future, "It was engineered to swallow large chunks of road while keeping the rider safe and comfortable over any type of terrain."
Mitch will ride a 1982, XS650 Yamaha Heritage Special. Which he explains as  — a bike built before technology existed. He argues his Heritage has personality and brings a deeper connection to the rider. He says, "It is the kind of bike that you can ask a question and expect an answer. She runs on hope and a prayer."
In less than one week their website received 539 votes for their first destination, which will be Ryan's Way — Highway 12, a path that was listed by Car and Driver Magazine as "The Most Beautiful Road in America." This means that Mitch's Way — to go through Richfield so he could stop and say goodbye to his girlfriend—isn't going to happen.
Mitch and Ryan won't just be passing through countries, they'll be discovering new cultures, tasting new foods, making new friends, and gaining new perspectives on the world—and on themselves. They want the people of The United States to see a different side of Central America. "Not every Mexican wants to sneak across the U.S. border. The Mayan Indians in Guatemala aren't superstitious savages. A big part of this trip is opening the minds of Americans and shooting down negative stereotypes." Ryan explained.
Anyone can join Mitch and Ryan on this expedition because they are bringing along their video equipment and will be documenting all their experiences along the way. In a short time their first video has been viewed on youtube 809 times. Watch their exciting trip as they meet interesting people, eat interesting food, sleep in interesting places, and live their interesting dream. And keep watching because no one knows how or when this journey will end, not even them.
