I am confused by the offerings for motorcycle apparel for sport riding. I see ads for one and two piece leather suits with armor and also for armor alone in various configurations. My current riding clothes consists of leather jacket and chaps over jeans, gloves, pull-on boots. Plus of course a helmet(always) and rain gear as needed. Typical cruiser biker wear. Now that I am looking to buy a 996 (or YZF, or CBR) I am also looking for appropriate gear to match. So if I purchase a suit do I need to buy additional armor? If so what?
If you don't enjoy it, why do it?
