Help,I've given away the major motorcycle magazine with information on where to purchace a Japanese spec #2 Phillips screwdriver. I think a reader had that info in the Service/Tech section. A search came up with one of the two listed. Katun tools, does not allow purchace. I'm in search of the other site that was listed. This info was in an unknown, to me, but a well known monthly motorcycle magazine within the last 6 months.

Thanks, Anna

A little information is a really bad thing.

The little dot on the head does not have anything to do with the #2 screwdriver bit size.

About 40 or so years ago the metric thread was changed to what was called ISO threads. While the 6mm stayed at 1.0mm pitch so was the same tools, the 5mm changed from .9 and .8 pitch to .8 and .5. The dot was to indicate the new ISO threads.

We were a Honda dealer at the time so I can prove this by finding the old service bulletin if needed.
