Lack of contrast in printed articles

I wonder how many other old farts like me have trouble reading the articles when they have black type on a colored background? I realize we live in a trendy world,and the other guys all do it,but could you PLEASE consider that white letters on dark backgrounds (or black on white or light backgrounds) would be so much easier to read in less than optimum light conditions (you know which room in the house to which I refer).Somewhere back in time,articles with pictures became pictures with type on them.Looks great but HARD to read.You do want us to read them,yes?
