Where to shop in L.A.?

I will be visiting L.A. next month, and I want to get some new riding gear, including some new pants, gloves, a back protector, etc.  I want to visit a store so I can try things on for size. Can anyone recommend some good shops?  Large shops that have a broad selection would be good, but smaller places offering some more unique items would be cool too. Where do the Motorcyclist staffers get their stuff?  Thanks.

Try Berts Auto Mall in West Covina.  The price on their bikes is rediculous but they have a huge selection on gear.
