I had thought to post this in that "Do it all motorcycle" thread since, because this is my ONLY motorcycle - only running one, anyway - it has to do it all. It's a 1980 yammie XS850S, that was given to me as a freebie by my brother, after sitting outside neglected for 4.5 years, under a steadily deteriorating blue plastic tarp.
The carbs are Mik BS34s, replacing the Hitachis (which are a nightmare to get parts for, anymore) boneyard sourced for $40 and overhauled. The front end is takenm complete fron a 1985 Kawasaki ZL900 Eliminator, again boneyard sourced, the Kawasaki stem was cut out of the bottom triple clamp, and replaced by the yamaha stem. That black button on the side cover is a universal generic automotive starter button, wired directly inplace of the burnt out starter relay. works mint, But I kick start it mostly, because I can. ;-)
