MV Agusta will race on British tracks in the 2007 BSB Superstock Championship. The team, called "Trackstar-Racing", will debut the MV Agusta F4-1000R by competing in the final round of the BSB Championship in the highly competitive 1000cc Superstock and Superstock Cup classes at Brands Hatch on the 1st October. Sponsored by "eBike Insurance" the team wil showcase their 2007 team line-up and use the Brands Hatch round to introduce the riders to the BSB Superstock series Trackstar-Racing PR manager added "We are all privileged to be working with MV Agusta. MV Agusta has a historical racing past second to none having won World Championships with the likes of Mike Hailwood, Phil Read and Giacomo Agostini. The bikes are truly beautiful, the attention to detail is amazing, and it's already proving itself on the track". Trackstar-Racing will run a 3 rider squad with ex MotoGP and World Superbike rider Franco Battaini taking the number 1 seat in the Superstock Championship. Brian McCormack and Jak Wright will compete in the Superstock Cup to gain experience as Trackstar-Racing develop them both for the following seasons to come. Franco said: "There will be a lot of learning to be done in the remainder of 2006 and much work in winter testing. The bike is relatively new and the BSB circuits also, I have full support from MV Agusta and Trackstar-Racing and we are very positive". Trackstar-Racing is also planning to enter the team into various Superstock rounds of WorldSBK in Europe with Imola, Misano, Silverstone and Brands Hatch as their targeted races.
