Okay, not all of us are in two wheel paradise. But just to get some numbers, how cold is to cold for you to say forget the bike I'm taking the heated cage. i'm going to say 40'ish. and what do you wear to combat the cold. It's getting nippy in the morning on the east coast.

If the weather is good I ride until it gets into the low 40's. The fairing on my Concours helps keep the wind off. Heated grips and good gloves help keep my hands warm. I wear polar fleece under my jacket and that keeps me good and toasty. We are lucky down here in Texas. We get to ride year around. Good luck staying warm.

I use to wear treking winter clothes and !newspapers¡ when it gets really cold. The newspapers works grate as they keep your body temperature. Alf.
