I'd love to start taking my daughter out (7 years old) occassionally, but the kid's apparel I've found is either offroad or just for looks.

Street gear for kids is all but non-existant, but some of the dirt gear crosses over pretty well. My favorite thing for kids is the sixsixone youth pressure suit. It has a full back protector, forearm and shoulder armour, and works great under a non-armoured "fashion" leather jacket. My 11-year-old loves his, it's beign handed down to his younger sister when he's done w/it. Costs about $120, DEFINATELY worth it, and your kid won't look like an MX racer when you cover it w/a regular jacket. Also, it's nice and vented, so kid won't have a heat stroke, and it can be worn by itself in warmer weather. There are, of course, alot of options for kid sized gloves, boots, etc., that are more than road-worthy and pretty subtle looking in black.

Hi iaotte.
I am not sure if there are any out there but you could try MXSouth,Inc.(WWW.MXSOUTH.COM) I have got from them, from MX Fox gear to Joerocket jackets. They are very friedly people. You can ask for José.
Anyway, I personally think it is not a good idea taking your daughter with you. Even with the best gear the risk for the child is enormous, although I did with mine being younger in a close area.
Take care and sorry for my english.

Shoei makes kids sized helmets, you will have to order them though, I've seen them, good quality.
