I am new to the sport, and the area. if there is anybody familure with NC it would be cool for you to drop a hint on some cool rides in the area. I know, I know DEALS GAP, but that is about a 5hr + ride for me, I'm in the sandhills, that is south of raliegh.

I found a website you may be interested in: http://www.motorcycleroads.us/nc.html
Although Deals Gap is an epic ride, I wouldn't recommend it to a newbie.
Hope this helps

I have a local (Los Angeles) road that is 2.5 miles from the bottom to the top, with 32 turns. This is definately NOT a road for newbies. Take the 605 to Beverly and go east for a few miles. Beverly eventually turns into Turnbull Canyon Road. STAY IN YOUR OWN LANE!!!!! There are quite a few decreasing radius and increasing radius corners with 3 decent straights... Once again, I have to stress the point that you must..STAY IN YOUR OWN LANE! If you don't, you will certainly become a hood ornament for one of the local cars.
