Out of curiosity, if you are at a track day and there are male and female coaches of equal skill level, which gender would you prefer to give you instruction?

i've never been to a trackday where the female instructors outskilled the male instructors. Ever. And I've been to a lot of trackdays. That being said, I would still ask a female instructor for help

I have been to a lot of track days myself and have seen women instructors outskill some of the males yet they rarely get asked for help.

I've been to four track days. It's 50/50 for me. I've had one great male instructor, one great female instructor, one so-so male instructor, and didn't have an instructor at a Miller Motorsports track day in 2006. With so few experiences, I can't really say one was better for me personally, yet.
My most memorable instructor was Michael Czysz, who was my coach at a MotoCorsa track day in Portland, Oregon either in 2004 or 2005. He was super upbeat and positive all throughout the day. He sat us on picnic tables between sessions, gave us good instruction, pep talks, and kept us feeling like we wanted to improve - just focusing on one thing at a time. Even though I know we were slow as sin and it was probably painful for him, he kept an inspirational tone all day long, and I really appreciated that. I'm pleased to see his success now with www.MotoCzysz.com.
I may have a better idea after my next track day. Am currently deciding between one or all of these:
May 17 - Portland, OR - PSSR June 4 - Tooele, UT, Cascade Tracktime August 1 - Spokane, WA - Mike Sullivan School, a Women's Event!! October 2 - Thunder Hill in Willows, CA - PSSR
